Commenced karate aged 7 and since 1997 has featured in every National Championship in Ireland. First selected to represent Ireland internationally at the age of 14, Sorcha began teaching karate in 2002. She is a registered instructor, instructing at WSKF Sedai. Sorcha is an Athlete in Kata. During her Athletic time was a squad member for ONAKAI Senior Women's Kumite Team in -68kg, +68kg and Open categories and in Kata at Senior International Level in parallel to WSKF Ireland’s National Karate Team at International Tournaments and WSKF Ireland Squads. Competed with Dublin City University and University of Limerick Intervarsity Karate Teams. More recently Joined University College Dublin Karate Club. Sorcha has an interest in Athlete Inclusion, understanding Sports Literacy, Disability and Performance, Post Injury and Recovery.
